Dodge's special edition 2023 Chargers, Challengers top out near six figures
There’s also an online "Horsepower Locator" tool you can use to find available models at a dealer near you
- Order books for Dodge’s “Last Call” 2023 Challengers and Chargers are now open
- A half-dozen limited special edition models run from US$63,590 to US$99,315
- All SRT-trim vehicles [except Super Stock or special editions] will be wholly customizable “Jailbreak” models

The days of Dodge’s aggressive muscle cars, the Challenger and Charger, will soon come to an end. And if you hadn’t heard already, to cap off the era in proper
fashion, the American automaker is releasing a collection of ‘Last Call’ models for the 2023 year, including the
Dodge Challenger Shakedown,
Dodge Charger Super Bee,
Dodge Challenger and Charger Scat
Pack Swinger,
Dodge Charger King Daytona and Dodge Challenger Black Ghost. The automaker’s been teasing them out
over the past month or two, and now orders for the whole lot have finally opened.
We should note, though, that basically every 2023 Charger or Challenger has already been allocated to a dealership. And so to make it easier to find one [or at least give customers a fighting chance] Dodge has released a “Horsepower Locator” tool that helps you find the retailer nearest you that can help you get the model you want—at least if you’re a U.S. customer.

By visiting DodgeGarage.com, users can search by zip code – Dodge, please tell us how we Canadians can fit our postal codes in there – for available models, special editions, and various trims of the Challenger and Charger. The tool doesn’t locate vehicle inventory [i.e. vehicles currently on the lot] but rather a dealer’s ability to order it in. Customers who successfully purchase vehicles through dealers using the Locator will have their order confirmed within 30 days.

Last Call: Dodge details the 2023 Charger and Challenger
Each and every 2023 Dodge Charger or Challenger is technically a Last Call model, so all will bear a “Last Call” plaque under the hood, including the vehicle name and silhouette along with the phrases “Designed in Auburn Hills” and “Assembled in Brampton.”
Furthermore, every high-performance SRT Hellcat trim example [except for the above-mentioned special editions and the drag-racing Super Stock] will come with the “Jailbreak” option free of charge. The package, introduced last year, unlocks a variety of previously exclusive customizable colour combinations and accessories, including retro exterior finishes like B5 Blue, Plum Crazy purple, and Sublime green.

Dodge’s announcement also seems to indicate prices are up slightly for these 2023 cars; and runs down the list of prices for the special editions, although they’re only in U.S. dollars for now, and exclude the US$1,595 destination and fees.
The Challenger Shakedown Special Edition is set at US$63,590, or US$67,490 for the Widebody; the Challenger Swinger Widebody Special Edition is US$66,190; and the Challenger Black Ghost Special Edition at the top end of the options at a whopping US$99,315. The Challenger Super Bee Special Edition has been priced at US$61,805 and US$67,300 for the Widebody edition; the Charger Swinger Widebody Special Edition at US$69,690; and the Charger King Daytona Special Edition at US$98,420.
A seventh, final special edition was due to be unveiled at the SEMA show in Las Vegas in early November, but its reveal was apparently postponed due to supply-chain issues and a new debut date has not yet been announced. With the six specials above limited to roughly 500 to 1,000 units each and clocking in at over six figures in Canada, we’re really curious how exclusive number seven will be—and what it will sell for.
