How to make a collaborative playlist on Spotify [desktop]
The Spotify web player and desktop app share many similarities. They are almost identical. However, theres one significant difference in this case: the web player does not support collaborative playlist creation.
Heres how to create a collaborative playlist on the Spotify desktop app.
Open the Spotify desktop app and press the Create Playlist button on the left.

If you want, you can click on the auto-generated name of the playlist to edit it. In this case, Spotify generated the title My Playlist #1 for this new playlist.

While editing the playlists name, you can also add a description and a cover photo.

Press the ᐧᐧᐧbutton to open the dropdown options menu for the playlist.Click onCollaborative playlist, which will add a checkmark next to that option. The playlist is now considered a collaborative playlist.

No, you dont need to be a Spotify Premium member to create a collaborative playlist. Furthermore, you dont need to be a Spotify Premium member to join as a collaborator on somebody elses collaborative playlist. This is a feature everyone can access.
