Hello Peter: Windows 8 can be a nightmare with RDP! Have you tried changing the password on the server for the user account domain\peter? Make sure that the user has the "cannot change password" and "password never expires" options checked. You account is likely an admin account which bypasses some of the RDP security stuff. Microsoft has introduced an RDP error in May sometime, which hit me with Server 2016 and W7 Home Premium clients loggin in. I solved that one by resetting the computer to a restore point from May 26 ,2018. Believe it or not, after the Restore Point, the user could login OK. Hope this helps. Steve 1
