8 REPLIES 8 12-14-2017 12:04 PM Hi, It's been a while since I used a material converter script (I use Corona render and it has a very easy conversion routine)... so I'm not sure how good this one is... but you could always give it a go: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/multyconvertor Darawork Windows 11, 3DS Max 2023, Revit 2023, AutoCad 2023, Dell Precision 5810/20, nVidia Quadro P5000/RTX 5000 12-14-2017 12:11 PM I actually already tried to get that plugin to work. But you did give me a good idea. I think I'll download the demo of Corona to convert the materials 12-14-2017 12:15 PM Just to make sure you realise, The Corona converion will only convert to Corona Materials. And then you will be truely stuck, trying to convert Corona to Standard. In my opinion you'd be better off going down the list and testing scripts out (in a 'Save As' version of your scene, keep the original safe). http://www.scriptspot.com/search/apachesolr_search/material%20converter?filters=type%3Ascript Darawork Windows 11, 3DS Max 2023, Revit 2023, AutoCad 2023, Dell Precision 5810/20, nVidia Quadro P5000/RTX 5000 12-15-2017 12:38 PM Would this example be typical of something you want to convert? I ask because this one seems to have Vray materials, which I'm not sure would convert cleanly to standard materials. 12-15-2017 01:28 PM Hmm you might have some luck finding a script like the ones @darawork posted then 12-16-2017 08:06 AM Hi. There is a commercial script called UMC, that converts both VRay, Corona, mr and AutodeskMaterials (+ more) to standard materials (scan line). I use it myself, and it works OK. Here is a link: http://www.3dstudio.nl/webshop/product/1-universal-material-converter Hope it helps ___________________________________________________________________________________________________
