Mindfulness, in short, is the practice of bringing a non-judgmental awareness to the present moment. This meditative tradition stems from Buddhism and was brought to the West by Zen teachers Philip Kapleau and Thich Nhat Hanh. Jon Kabat-Zinn, a student of Kapleus, was the first to scientifically study and prove the myriad health benefits of mindfulness. Kabat-Zinn is often credited for secularizing the practices and making them more accessible for Westerners.

If youve ever taken a yoga class or played a guided meditation wherein you were encouraged to focus on your breath without changing it, feel the sensations on your skin and bring awareness to tension in your body, youve practiced mindfulness.

Manifestation is the practice of visualizing and emotionally inhabiting the state of already having what you desire, as a way of attracting more of that energy and that outcome into your life. The concept grew out of the New Thought movement and the teachings of Phineas Quimby, though most world spiritual traditions speak in one way or another of ones thoughts and feelings creating their reality.

My approach to guiding others is not rooted in any one spiritual tradition, as I see spirituality as being deeply personal, however Ive found great benefit in practicing these techniques in my own life and enjoy teaching others, as well.

Manifestation involves identifying and updating limiting beliefs that hinder ones sense of worthiness, potential and ability to attract abundance in any form, whether that be love, success, opportunities or health.
