Hi all, I have an old laptop [an HP G60] that no longer has an OS as I decided to use the serial key on a PC build of mine. Today I pulled it out of the closet for the first time in months and decided to install Ubuntu on it. I've formatted and used the Universal USB Installer on a USB drive I had laying around. However the issue is whenever I boot up the laptop it lingers on a black screen with what appears to be a white underscore in the top left. Any idea on what I can do? Thanks

hmmm, my suggestion would be to try a different version of Ubuntu, or go to Linux mint, redownload it on your system, see if the same thing happens
