Theo đó có 16 đơn vị được cấp phép thực hiện xét nghiệm Covid – 19 sàng lọc gồm: Bệnh viện (BV) Đa khoa Trung ương Cần Thơ, BV Quân y 121, Trung tâm kiểm soát bệnh tật TP. Cần Thơ, BV Đa khoa TP Cần Thơ, BV Nhi đồng TP. Cần Thơ, BV Lao và BV Phổi TP. Cần Thơ, BV Ung bướu TP. Cần Thơ, BV Phụ sản TP. Cần Thơ, BV Đa khoa quốc tế S.I.S Cần Thơ, BV Quốc tế Phương Châu, BV Đa khoa Hòa Hảo - Medic Cần Thơ, BV Đa khoa Hoàn Mỹ Cửu Long, Phòng xét nghiệm MELATEC Cần Thơ, BV Tim mạch, BV Da liễu, BV Huyết học – Truyền máu. Trong đó, 3 đơn vị: BV Đa khoa Trung ương Cần Thơ, Trung tâm kiểm soát bệnh tật TP. Cần Thơ và BV Đa khoa TP. Cần Thơ được Sở Y tế cấp phép xét nghiệm khẳng định.

Sở Y tế đề nghị, các cơ quan đơn vị có nhu cầu xét nghiệm Covid – 19 liên hệ với các cơ sở đã công bố trong danh sách cấp phép để thực hiện đảm bảo tính chính xác và giá trị pháp lý của kết quả xét nghiệm. Đồng thời chi phí xét nghiệm sẽ được thực hiện theo hướng dẫn của Bộ Y tế.

Ngày 25/9/2020, Sở Y tế TP Cần Thơ có công văn số 4004/SYT-KHTC về việc Thu phí xét nghiệm COVID-19. Trước tình hình dịch bệnh COVID-19 diễn biến phức tạp, ngành Y tế tăng cường công tác giám sát, ngăn chặn, đặc biệt năng lực xét nghiệm SARS-CoV-2 trên địa bàn.
