Jessica jones season 2 review reddit

Now, don’t get me wrong. Season 1’s Kilgrave was easily the second best Defendersverse villains of the seasons I’ve seen up to this point (right behind Fisk). But the season itself was like…..really weird. Characters took bizarre actions constantly (such as Jessica stalking Luke even in his intimate moments prior to meeting and sleeping with him despite knowing what she did), and while the other characters were fine, Jessica and Kilgrave stole the show, no contest.

Now, with Season 2, everything in general felt more balanced. All of the lead characters had a storyline of some sort that I felt interested in, and I was never disappointed when the perspective changed. Jessica herself was suffering a severe conflict in her morality due to the nature of the season’s antagonist, and I found the season a more powerful experience overall.

TL;DR; I think Season 1 had high highs, but Season 2 was the most consistently high.

EDIT: I did forget one thing, wasn’t crazy about Hogarth’s storyline. Though I kinda hate her in both seasons due to being an absolute prick lol.

Is Jessica Jones Season 2 worth watching?

I'm still in "The Octopus"

Is it worth finishing? It really hasn't trapped me yet.

It's kind of a shame how the Netflix shows have fallen out of grace.

So I know I’m late but I finally got around to watching season 2 of Jessica Jones. I loved the first season I thought it fantastic. It had me hooked by the first episode. And Kilgrave was the best villain in my opinion out of all the Marvel Netflix shows (sorry Kingpin and CottonMouth). So I had pretty high expectations for season 2. I’ve seen a lot of things saying that it’s slow at first and then picks up and gets much better but honestly for me it was the opposite. Oh and by the way SPOILER WARNING starts now. I liked how Jessica was trying to find out about her past and this strange IGH experiment. Although it was a bit too Wolverine like still it was mysterious and who is the person killing all these people. I like the arc of how Jeri Hogarth got ALS and needed to figure out what the hell to do and started being nice to people and Trish trying to good on the radio all of this was interesting to me. Annnd then we found out the super killer was Jessica’s mom and she’s been shacked up with the evil doctor for years and years. Then all the mystery was gone after Jessica gave her up to the police everything just kinda got boring to me no mystery, no intrigue. They played all the cards and I guess I just didn’t care enough about these characters and what was going on after that. Trish and her dumb inhaler addiction, Jess’s mom being in prison and Hogarth being cured and where was the mad scientist none of this really intrigued me honestly. I just didn’t care for some odd reason. I guess I was hoping for a better villain and way more mystery and darker content and they kinda turned into a drama and not really a noire mystery.

Is it worth watching Jessica Jones Season 2?

With improved pacing and strong character work, Jessica Jones Season 2 is a competent followup to an electrifying debut season. It takes everything Jess fans loved about the character and her world and improves upon it. The effect is dampening, an unfortunate blunting of season one's brutally efficient edges.

Was Jessica Jones Season 3 good?

Just when you think this is a series in need of a shock jolt, Jessica Jones season 3 suddenly puts itself in a strong position to pay off its promises. While it wasn't the most electrifying way to start a season, it moved the pieces in place for what will hopefully be a strong final season.

    Is Iron Fist s2 good?

Season two is miles better than the first season. It's actually even mildly entertaining at times. But Iron Fist's biggest problem persists and there's little getting around it. You won't be missing much if you give this season a skip.

Did Luke Cage forgive Jessica Jones?

While waiting for Kilgrave to return to ZALK, Cage gives Jones a moving, heartfelt apology, forgiving her for the death of Connors and how he had insulted her.
