Does Microsoft Remote Desktop work with Catalina?

  Two Mac products with different operating systems, yet the same Microsoft Remote Desktop 10. I was able to connect with BOTH, but then I can no longer connect with my iMac now. I believe it's something with the newest Mac OS Catalina update it did and now Remote Desktop 10 does NOT work with it...my guess.

  Below are the credentials:

  MacBook Pro (which works):

  Mac OS High Sierra v 10.13.6

  Microsoft Remote Desktop v 10.3.3

  iMac (which does NOT work):

  Mac OS Catalina v 10.15

  Microsoft Remote Desktop v 10.3.3

  Help!

  And now they're both NOT working once again...this keeps happening! They work, then they don't work. What is going on!?

  pc1:MacBook Pro and OS is Catalina v 10.15
  pc2:iMac and OS is High Sierra v 10.13.6
  pc3:??
  1 did you have a windows computer ,let us named it pc3 ?
  2 from your description, you can remote access from MacBook Pro to pc3 and you can not remote access from iMac to pc3 , is it true ?
  
  3 if you installMicrosoft Remote Desktop for MacVersion 10.3.4 (1682) on IMac ,will the problem persist ?

  Glad I found this thread. I have exact same problem. Windows Server at my business using ethernet connectivity will error when MRD tries to sign in with MRD 30.3.3, Catalina, latest updates. If I use my usiness VPN, I can access the server, but when I start MRD to connect our software client, the error message reappears and is the same. Of note, I downloaded 10.3.4 beta and tried. Same error. It did solve a "disappearing" pointer/cursor issue that 10.3.3 was having. My IT department is baffled. Any ideas? Thanks! btw, the error message was not specific with a number. It only said server will not allow connection, or something close to that. The more exact message is the server cannot be found.

  Just getting back to you. I installed and tried MRD 10.3.4 (1688). It was better but would not connect. I mean better in that when I used the IP address for the host server I got to a point where it asked me to trust a certificate. I did. I tried repeatedly but the error message remained the same "the user Account did not work" Try again. I double checked all the credentials (password, IP, etc). My IT department is working on things but I have no word yet. Any ideas?

  Following up. I got it to work! After the most recent Catalina update I tried again. No luck. So I looked carefully at my sign in credentials and found I had used / instead of \ in my domain name! That was the problem. This was not the same when I tested 10.3.3 with Catalina. I had re installed after a complete removal of 10.4.4 a few times and re-entered my credentials and made the mistake. As of a few hours ago, all is up and running. Thanks! I will update you if things change.

  This is broken again now in 10.15 Catalina

  Any attempt to connect to a Windows machine via Remote Desktop Client for Mac results in error code 0x204

  Any update on fix?
