How to erase all data on Dell laptop Windows 7

To reset your Windows 7 laptop to factory defaults without the installation disk, your computer must have a recovery partition installed. Most major computer manufacturers, like HP and Dell, provide recovery partitions on laptops and tablets in lieu of installation media. If you are not sure whether your Windows 7 laptop has a recovery partition, check the user manual for your specific model. You can also check your Windows programs for a Recovery Manager application provided by the manufacturer. Instructions for initiating a factory reset without a disk differ by manufacturer.
