1. Dạng so sánh của much / many / little/ few
Much [ trước danh từ kho đếm được số nhiều ] và Many [ trước danh từ đếm được số nhiều ] có chung dạng so sánh bậc hơn là more và so sánh bậc nhất là the most
Vd:
Famer donthave much work to do in the winter.
Famer have more work to do at other times.
Famer have the most work to do at harvest.
Vd:
I dont have many stamps.
Lan has more stamps than I do.
Hoa has the most stamps in the collectors club
2. Phân biệt little và a little ; few và a few
a. little và a little là các tính từ chỉ định lượng dùng trước danh từ số ít không đếm được .
little có nghĩa là ít đến mức không đáng kể , hầu như chẳng có mấy . Trong khi đó , a little có nghĩa là ít , không nhiều , đối lập với nhiều [ much ]
Lưu ý: A little có dạng so sánh bậc hơn bất quy tắc là less
Vd: There is less water in my glass than in your
b. Few và a few : là các tính từ chỉ định lượng dùng trước danh từ đếm được số nhiều .
Tương tự như trên, few có nghĩa là ít đến mức không đáng kể , hầu như chẳng có mấy . Trong khi đó , a few có nghĩa là ít , không nhiều , đối lập với nhiều [ many ]
Vd: few people

Lưu ý: a few có dạng so sánh bậc hơn là fewer
